In February we celebrate American Heart Month. This month we promote efforts to reduce the risks of heart disease and stroke. Limit cholesterol and saturated fat intake; eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains; maintain a healthy weight; increase physical activity; drink alcohol only in moderation and avoid tobacco use. Join us on February 3, National Wear Red Day, at Belk in Heritage Crossing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help us kick off American Heart Month and promote awareness of cardiovascular disease, the number one cause of death in the United States. We will provide blood pressure screenings and heart-healthy information.
