Welcome to Wilson Gastroenterology.
We provide integrated care for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases including colon cancer screening and surveillance, We treat patients with inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis as well as patients with acute and chronic liver disease.
Dr. Antignano has a particular interest in patients with chronic viral hepatitis, patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and patients with gastrointestinal and liver problems that can accompany immunologic and rheumatic diseases.
Insurance and Payment
We participate in most area health plans, including Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medcost, Tricare, and others. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid.
We must have a copy of your current insurance card. Please bring your insurance card
to every visit for verification. Payments expected at the time
of service including co-payments.
You are responsible for co-[ayments,
deductibles, co-insurance,and
non-covered services.
About Your Physician
Dr. Antignano received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and received his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Isaac Gordon Center for Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, The Genesee Hospital and University of Rochester School of Medicine.
Dr. Antignano is an active member of several academic professional organizations and has received several honors and awards for teaching excellence. He was the senior clinical instructor in Gastroenterology Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, teaching residents and medical students. While there, he received the “Award for Teaching Excellence”, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency Program (2005) and the “Clinical Attending Teaching Award”, Highland Hospital Medical House Staff (1989). Dr. Antignano was also the Past-President, Monroe County (NY) Medical Society, 2000-2001.
His wife, his guiding light, Mary Koogler, is an RN and the practice administrator for his GI practice in NY. They have four grown children, three daughters and one son, and four grandchildren.
